StarCraft improved upon its predecessor Warcraft II, which featured two very identical playable factions, by introducing asymmetry concerning the models and systems available to its three races (Protoss, Terran, and Zerg). This asymmetry was similar to that pioneered during the lesser-recognised 1996 SSI launch War Wind. The unit varieties available to each race determine its racial id. The Protoss can field potent and expensive warriors and equipment, even though the Zerg rely on sheer numbers and velocity to overwhelm their opponents.
We understood that our Terrans have been going to be tough and soiled. We knew we wanted the Protoss beingnot savage, 헬스케어 just, but primal, and effective. And we knew we required the Zerg to swarm."
